- for the hotel: the system has an administration panel that allows the hotel administrator to:
- insert the room types;
- insert the rates for any room type for any period of the year and for any weekday;
- set the minimum number of nights for any room type and for any period of the year;
- set the number of rooms allocated for online booking;
- see the number of booked and available rooms;
- manage your inventory: you can close any room type or all the hotel for any period of the year;
- set the child rates (if exist);
- see statistical reports regarding the reservations;
- see the details about each reservation, including the guests' credit card details: you will be able to make a deposit via the credit card for the case the guest won't observe your cancellaiton policy.
Also, after each reservation you will receive an instant notification email with all the reservation details, with the exception of the credit card details (due to security reasons, as email is not a secure way to transmit sensitive information)
- for your website visitors: when they click the online booking button, it will appear a reservation form that allows them to:
- check room availability;
- make the reservation; after the reservation the guest receives an instant confirmation email;
- cancel the reservation, if it's the case.
Benefits for hotels and tourists
The main benefit for hotels would be an increase number of bookings. According to all market research studies,
the tourists prefer to use more and more real-time booking systems as they can check room availability,
make the reservation and receive the confirmation in minutes, compared to the classic on request system
when they have to send an email to the hotel and wait for the hotel confirmation.
This process usually takes 1 to 2 days.
And the result can be negative. Due to this delay, the tourists send requests to several hotels and then they choose
one of them. So, even if the hotel sends a positive request to the tourist, they may choose another hotel.
